U-EY CARDS “TEAR IT UP”
FOR CONSUMERS
Hip, new card line features tear-away
front-cover for “reply-to-sender” fun
NEW YORK CITY (May
20, 2007) - U-ey Cards, are now available for purchase!
The brain-child of Shane Estock, founder of Shanestock, LLC,
“U-ey” Cards is a play-on-words for the
related slang term, U-ey, used for U-turns. The line of cards
feature bold graphics and initiate interaction between the card
sender and receiver through tear-away front-cover designs
complete with witty puns and Q&A responses.
Inspired by the current populataion of
time-challenged multi-taskers, the two-cards-in-one concept was
created to facilitate a dialog, and open (or re-open) channels
of communication, friendship and even romance. Interest is
piqued by people who both send and receive the card due to:
The “boomerang
effect” - replies are encouraged in a fun and easy way;
option to even self- address and stamp the return
portion prior to sending
Familiar stylized
graphics, slogans and emoticons used in the e-mail world
capture attention of computer and non-computer types alike
The idea that their
“someone special” may finally send a note back
U-ey is something unexpected
and novel
Guys will like them! Remember the
“Seinfeld” episode where Jerry got in trouble for
throwing out a card from his girlfriend, Kristin? Don't fret;
just send it back!
“In the midst of a world in which we
communicate rapidly and mostly electronically, there is still
something fun, exciting and oh so personal about sending and
receiving a card in the mail,” said Shane Estock, founder
of U-ey Cards. “And I want to promote in a contemporary
way reciprocating that good feeling by sending something back
to the person who first thought of you.”
U-ey Cards will make its trade show debut
at the National Stationery Show (NSS) New York City, May 20 to
23, 2007 at the Jacob Javits Center. The entire line, which
includes friendship, romance, birthday and holiday cards, will
be featured at Booth #1555.
U-ey Cards will also be part of two
important features of the NSS show, Operation Heartfelt Thanks
and Operation Caring Connection - programs that provide
greeting cards to our service men and women and their loved
ones.
